The SUMORE SMC850 is a high-precision 3-axis vertical CNC machining center designed for versatile metalworking applications. Equipped with a robust structure and advanced CNC control system, it can perform a wide range of machining tasks to produce complex parts from various materials. It is widely used in mold manufacturing, automotive parts processing, aerospace components, and general mechanical production.

Types of machining operations:

  • Face milling / Surface machining: Machining flat surfaces on workpieces to achieve high flatness and surface finish.
  • Profile milling / Contour machining: Cutting complex 2D/3D profiles, curves, and cavity shapes on parts.
  • Drilling: Creating precise holes of different diameters using twist drills, center drills, or step drills.
  • Tapping / Thread machining: Cutting internal or external threads (e.g., screw holes, bolt threads) with rigid tapping capability.
  • Boring: Expanding and finishing existing holes to improve dimensional accuracy, roundness, and surface smoothness.
  • Reaming: Finishing drilled holes to achieve tight tolerance and smooth inner surface for precision fits.
  • Counterboring / Countersinking: Creating recessed areas or angled seats for fasteners (screws, bolts) on workpiece surfaces.
  • Slotting / Grooving: Cutting straight or curved slots, keyways, and grooves on workpieces.
  • Pocket machining: Milling enclosed cavities or pockets with defined depths and shapes in the workpiece.
  • Chamfering / Deburring: Adding beveled edges to parts or removing sharp burrs from machined surfaces.
